SOONER RAE ROUTHIER
Sooner Rae Routhier is a two-time Parnelli Award winner, Live Design Achievement recipient, Live Production Summit Pinnacle honoree, and multi Top Dog Award winning designer. Her work has been seen by millions worldwide on stages and broadcasts including The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The American Music Awards, Saturday Night Live, The Voice, and The Billboard Music Awards. She has developed and produced unforgettable live moments for global headliners such as Coldplay, Paramore, Panic! at the Disco, The Weeknd, KISS, Imagine Dragons, Halsey, and Megan Thee Stallion.
Sooner’s journey began in 1999 as a lighting technician and director for Rainbow Concert Productions while studying at Emerson College. She launched her design career with the rock band Chevelle before co-founding SRae Productions with legendary production manager Robert Long in 2007. Together, they created iconic work including "Game of Thrones - Live Concert Experience", a groundbreaking fusion of music, storytelling, and immersive design that showcased Sooner’s visionary approach to live entertainment.
In 2022, she launched The Playground, a new venture dedicated to expanding creative collaboration in show design. Her recent work includes full production design for Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour, Panic! at the Disco’s Viva Las Vengeance Tour, and The Lumineers, as well as lighting for the FIFA Club World Cup Opening Ceremony. Beyond her creative achievements, Sooner is a trailblazer for inclusivity in live entertainment, co-founding EVEN, an organization committed to building a more diverse and equitable live events industry through mentorship, training, and opportunity.
